Tyler Upchurch
Tyler Upchurch is an artist who creates unique portrayals of street culture and reimagines nostalgic photographs using digital platforms to bring his work to life. Drawing inspiration from the late 1990s and early 2000s, he’s predominantly influenced by hip-hop and basketball.
Tyler uses abstract shapes and sharp edges to create a new perspective and informal rules that reflect the ideals of street culture. The constants in his works are the emphasis of the nose, ears, and face. His use of colors and textures gives each piece a sense of depth, but also a paper-thin appearance. His style of work can be classified as digital cubism.
